Friday Newsletter – Did you experience totality?

Every Friday I fire off a list of things I think you need to know. Want me to know something in return? Leave it in the comments.

TGIF everyone, another week in the books. How was it for you? Before I get going on what’s going on, welcome to a few new subscribers. Feel free to take a look around. This week was all about experiencing totality – and of course, I am referring to the solar eclipse on Monday.

Family time: 150 fun things to do in Toronto

I have lived in toronto for just over 12 years. Part of that was without kids and part of that was with kids. Why do I mention that? Because the very same city you thought you knew, can be seen very differently when you have on your parent glasses. Something you previously thought of as a tourist trap, or a place that looked boring, now has a jolt of life brought to it because you are experiencing it through your kids. I admit once we had kids and moved back to Toronto, I started seeing everything like I was new to the city again.

Toronto has so many things to offer and so many places to experience. Why not grab the family and check out any (or all) of the 150 fun things to do in Toronto listed below.

Curb went out just as it should

The Curb Your Enthusiasm finale was perfect. All of the references to the Seinfeld finale, having Jerry in it, all the old clips, and the last few scenes were classic. Not to mention the last scenes with Lewis. What a way to go out. I will miss Larry and the gang.

Friday Newsletter – What is going on with Toronto sports?

Every Friday I fire off a list of things I think you need to know. Want me to know something in return? Leave it in the comments.

Happy Friday gang, we made it again. While it was a short week in terms of work for some, a lot was going on as we switched to April. The one thing that has been on my mind for a lot of the week, is how sad it has become (again) to be a Toronto sports fan. The Raptors are an absolute mess and I am pretty sure are trying to lose every game they can. The Maple Leafs are plodding towards the playoffs where we expect them to flame out in the early rounds again.

Friday Newsletter – It’s a “Good” one

Every Friday I fire off a list of things I think you need to know. Want me to know something in return? Leave it in the comments.

Happy Good Friday everyone. Yes, it’s a holiday for many, but the newsletter rolls on. Also, should we start a petition to upgrade Good Friday, to Great Friday? Like I said, it’s a day off for many and in our house, that means no school and no work. Everyone is home. So what does that mean? Well, a lot of sleeping in and resetting for the weekend ahead.

Hopefully, Spring weather comes through and we will feel like being outside for much of the day. There is March Madness, the Blue Jays are back, and yes, getting reading for Easter dinner. What are you cooking?

It was a fast week, but a good week. Here are just some of the things that have me entertained or at the very least caught my eye.

The joys of being a parent of a teenager

Being the parent of a teenager can be like riding a rollercoaster that you didn’t know you had a ticket for. One moment you’re ascending, full of hope and admiration for the young adult your child is becoming, and the next, you’re plummeting into the depths of eye rolls and monosyllabic responses. But amidst the chaos, there’s a treasure trove of humour to be found. And let’s be honest, it’s the laughs that make it worth it right? Here are some of the funniest aspects of having a teenager, with a nod to the online community that shares in our collective parenting journey.
